As a Financial Operations Associate you will join the Operations team to provide essential middleoffice and posttrade support. You will be directly involved in activities such as trade reconciliations operational risk control and collaborating with technology teams to enhance automated processes. Your work will support the organization s goal of achieving 100% straightthrough processing while effectively managing operational risk.

- Trade Reconciliations : Perform trade reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Operational Risk Controls : Define and implement operational risk controls.
- Internal Reconciliations : Reconcile internal positions across multiple counterparties and asset classes.
- Exception Management : Manage exceptions related to administrative positions transactions and cash reconciliations.
- Settlement Oversight : Oversee T0 matching and settlements across various asset classes and markets.
- Corporate Actions : Handle mandatory and voluntary corporate action events as well as posttrade event life cycles.
- Process Improvement : Analyze the current operational platform to improve straightthrough processing and identify efficiencies.

Responsibilities and Duties Financial Oversight & Compliance Supervise the finance and accounting department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all financial operations. Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and industry financial practices. Oversee and manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting, Sales & Income Tax Reporting, and Internal Audits. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity. Prepare and present financial reports for seven subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Financial Reporting & Analysis Lead the accounting team through the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met. Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis. Conduct financial variance analysis, comparing actual performance against budgeted expectations. Identify trends and patterns in revenue and expenses, providing data-driven recommendations for improvements. Prepare monthly sales reports by representative for management review. Sales Tax & Regulatory Compliance Maintain expertise in sales tax regulations and ensure compliance across 30 states. Manage and report sales tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Reconcile discrepancies between Avalara tax software and the ERP system. Account Reconciliations & Asset Management Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, AP, AR, customer deposits, vendor prepayments, trade liquidations, fixed assets, and sales tax liabilities. Oversee fixed asset management, including vehicle leases, capital purchases, and construction-in-progress accounts. Manage the lien waiver process for projects. External Collaboration & Ad Hoc Reporting Serve as the primary liaison with external financial partners, including CPA firms, banks, insurance brokers, and tax consultants. Coordinate with Accounting, Insurance, and other agencies for post-period audits. Prepare ad hoc financial reports as needed to support business decisions. Qualifications and Skills Education & Certifications Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). CPA or MBA is highly preferred. Experience & Industry Knowledge 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or material handling equipment industries is preferred. Strong NetSuite ERP experience, including financial module implementation, customization, and reporting (preferred). Knowledge of WIP (Work-in-Progress) accounting. Familiarity with Avalara Sales Tax software is a plus. Technical & Analytical Skills Strong understanding of GAAP, financial principles, and federal / state financial regulations. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, data extraction, and financial analysis. Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Leadership & Soft Skills Excellent managerial and leadership skills, with the ability to evaluate and develop team members. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
