What are the responsibilities and job description for the AHS Head Dance Coach position at Abilene High School?
Abilene High School is taking applications for our head dance coaching position that will be available for the 2025-26 school year.
Duties/characteristics include (but not limited to) the following.
__A background in a varitiey of dance styles.
__Ability to lead a goup of students through choreography and performance preparation.
__Ability to organize, lead, and complete a tryout process.
__Willingness to take squad to summer camp for team bonding and skill development.
__Willingness to fundraise for wants that excede district alotted budget.
__Following all guidelines set forth by the KSHSAA, USD 435, and Abilene High School.
__Fostering an environment of creativity, participant input, and high energy while upholding the core characteriscs of respect, perseverance, accountability, integrity, and cooperation.
__Ability to work with other activities.
__Maintain communication links with administration.
__Being of sound judgement in routines taught/performed being of appropriate content for age group along with community representation.
