JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for promoting and selling new, used and remanufactured parts and equipment, by serving the needs of the customers. Proactively seeks out and develops local customer base, both retail and dealer markets.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY
This position has supervisory oversight, with some independent decision making. Performs routine duties independently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most of the work is performed in a fast-paced open office environment with frequent interruptions. Occasional overnight travel is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Acts as company representative at trade shows to grow company awareness in the local area. Represents the company in a professional manner.
- Understand and implement our marketing strategy to expand our brand and market share.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory.
- Provide timely feedback to management and the Sales team.
- Supervises administrative employees, warehouse and sales specialist. Oversees the warehouse operation.
- Supports and adds to the sales team by promoting team goals and a positive team attitude.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations; keeps the work environment clean and free of hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES

Technical
- Five (5) years’ experience in sales and customer service within the Ag sector including Tractors, Combines & Seeding Equipment.
- Two (2) years' experience in a Leadership / Supervisor role
- Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills; including excel.
- Time management skills.
- Results oriented with the ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Physical
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, bend, stoop and exert 50-100 pounds of force; 25-50 pounds frequently (Level 4 – Heavy Work).
- Ability to stand, walk, and drive as needed throughout the day.
- Ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal.
- Must be able to travel by car or other modes of transportation. Out-of-town travel is occasionally required.
- Ability to communicate by phone or other communication device with customers.
- Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity.
