About This Role:
- Supports the implementation of educational activities and programs within the school environment.
- Provides active supervision to students during instructional and enrichment activities.
- Develops positive and supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
- Assists students with learning during educational activities.
- Prepares materials for activities and events.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment after activities.
Key Responsibilities:
The Education Support Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the school, including but not limited to:
- Supporting teachers and staff with instructional and non-instructional tasks.
- Providing support to students with academic and personal needs.
- Assisting with administrative tasks as required.
- Contributing to a positive and respectful school culture.
Physical Requirements:
The Education Support Assistant must be able to perform the following physical requirements:
- Requires frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, turning, and reaching.
- Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
- Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.
Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- Abilene High School Student.
- Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.
- Student centered approach.
- Demonstrated success in working with students.
- Excellent collaborative/teaming skills.
- Energetic, creative, innovative, flexible.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
