Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Worker to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience in home community care and a strong understanding of care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including meal preparation, patient monitoring, and hygiene support.
- Implement care plans effectively while adapting to the changing needs of clients.
- Assist individuals with disabilities in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction
- Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance (required)
- Experience in home community care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and understanding client needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members.
