Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and developing behavior intervention plans for individuals with behavioral challenges, particularly those with disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral issues and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies based on applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Collect and analyze research data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Provide training and support to staff in implementing behavior plans and understanding behavioral health concepts.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Stay current with best practices in special education, diagnostic evaluation, and medical terminology related to behavioral health.
Requirements
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and understanding their unique needs.
- Proficiency in patient assessment methods and the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Familiarity with research data collection processes relevant to behavioral health interventions.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- A background in special education or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
