Home health agency seeking to hire experienced, reliable and compassionate caregivers to provide clients in Palm Bay with non-medical home health services: companionship, personal care services, homemaker services, and respite care.
Full-time and part-time positions available in Palm Bay
Direct care workers needed for all shifts including weekends.
Clients are young children and adults with developmental disability.
Caregiver must have experience caring for individuals with Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, visually impaired, etc.
Available Shifts
Shift #1: Morning - 4.00-hours, 6:00-hours, or 8:00 hours - Monday to Friday
Shift #2: Evenings - 2:00 to 3:00 hours for meals/bedtime care - Monday to Friday
Shift #3: Morning Weekends - 4:00 hours to 8:00 hours Saturday and/or Sunday
Shift#4: Evening Weekends - 2:00 to 3:00 hours, Saturday and/or Sunday
Job Type - employee
Pay Rate - $15.00/hour
Pay Period - biweekly (direct deposit)
Job Duties
- Provide age-appropriate companionship - games, watch movies, walking
- Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, ambulating, transferring, and self-administered medications
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping - clean bedroom, bathroom after use, kitchen after use
- Assist with laundry - washing, drying, folding, put away
Minimum Qualifications
- Pass level II background screening
- At least one year experience in caring for individuals with a developmental disability; or
- At least one year experience working in a behavioral home, psychiatric facility, medical facility or nursing facility; or
- At least one year experience working at a child care center
- HHA Certificate or Florida CNA License
- Current CPR Certificate
- HIV/AIDS and Infection Control Certificate
