JOIN OUR TEAM! AbilityPath is hiring for a Bilingual (Spanish) Family Resource Coordinator!
The FRC Coordinator works with families of children with disabilities and service providers to support referrals, information, education, and parent to parent support.
- Candidates must be a parent or a child or adult with a developmental disability
- Bilingual in Spanish required (proficient in writing and speaking)
Compensation: $24-$27/hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule: Full-time Monday – Friday, 8 work hours per day between 8am – 6pm (Hybrid position)

ABOUT THE ROLE – What we value:
Family Support and Case Management: Provide navigation support for families with children and youth aged 0-22 with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions; manage caseloads in San Mateo County; maintain accurate records in the ALICE database.
Community Engagement and Outreach: Work with community providers for referrals; attend outreach events, conferences, and meetings to promote services; facilitate support activities such as monthly groups and virtual trainings in English and Spanish.
Transition Assistance and Resource Referral: Support families during key transitions (e.g., Early Intervention to school, high school to vocational/rehabilitation services); answer inquiries and provide referrals to resources.
Compliance and Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to coordinate services; comply with mandatory reporting laws and applicable regulations; fulfill other duties as assigned.

Advance AbilityPath's mission through dedicated time to Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts across the organization, including but not limited to the below responsibilities:
- Participate/Actively engage in opportunities for self-education, learning and development and ongoing all-staff and department-specific DEI trainings and dialogues
- Participate/Actively engage in reflective practice and feedback as part of onboarding, 30-60-90, annual DEI goal setting, and performance reviews
- Engage in feedforward loops with managers, staff, teams, clients, and listen with the intention of understanding people's experiences
- Collaborate with peers, community members and partners to incorporate DEI learnings about bias, microaggressions, discrimination, current social events and lived experiences (and any other DEI-related topics) to shape program services, self-care practices and organizational culture
GENERAL FRC COORDINATOR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Passion for the mission, by believing in the abilities of neurodiverse individuals.
- Awareness and competence in supporting families of children with disabilities and neurodiversity.
- Must be a parent/caregiver of a child with disabilities or neurodiverse needs.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
- Knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), Zoom, Survey Monkey and other office productivity applications.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members, Abilitypath Staff, business partners, stakeholders, and families.
- Ability to work effectively across departmental teams and to work with detailed and confidential information
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
- A minimum of three (3) years of applicable educational/work experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and ability is qualifying, unless otherwise specified.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid California Driver's License/ID
- Verification of physical clearance
- Passing a criminal fingerprint clearance
- 18 years of age or job permit clearance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficient
- Parent of Child with Developmental disability
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:

Salary : $24 - $27
