PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
For over 50 years ABL Wholesale Distributors has been the premiere distributor servicing convenience retailers, universities, drug store chains and health care facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. We are adding this new position due to our recent growth.
The Buyer will report to the Purchasing Manager and work together with the warehouse supervisors at our offices in Columbiana, Ohio.
Job Description
- Identify new suppliers, programs and items. Develop and present new product updates to Purchasing Management.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and ensure quality service to our customers by quickly resolving invoice, product and delivery issues with the warehouse and accounts payable.
- Support Purchasing Team throughout annual Trade Show preparation / set up / execution.
- Request new product specifications from vendors and suppliers. Set up new item information in AS400.
- Plan & monitor inventory levels based on customer demand & historical sales.
- Review new items with Purchasing Management, Warehouse Supervisors and Inventory Manager to ensure orders are correctly placed; warehouse pick locations are set and the product is delivered on time.
- Prepare weekly flyers and submit to Purchasing Manager on time
- Prepare Prebook Sheet and order product on time
- Work with Customer Service on special order items
- Additional responsibilities will be required as the business needs change.
