Description:
General Responsibility: Helping to produce products to meet company specifications and standards.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts and parts lists; gathering parts, tools, and materials.
- Ability to use power tools for long periods of time with repetitive motion.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending.
- Ability to stand and work in various positions for extended periods of time up to 10 hours.
- Must be accurate and detail orientated.
- Must be able to perform in a hot or humid climate.
- Must be able to work around the smell of chemicals.
- Must work at a reasonable pace and within our quality and production standards to ensure timely completion of tasks and must work overtime as required to meet company needs.
- Complete all tasks as assigned by team leader and/or supervisor that are specific to the departmental duties.
Quality Control
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with company standards and/or specifications.
- Directing objectives to maximize profitability.
- Monitor own performance - self-audit for accuracy and produce high level output.
Safety
- Personally accountable for preventing injury and illness to self and for protecting company assets. Following plant safety rules is mandatory.
- Every injury sustained or even suspected while on the job must be reported immediately to your direct supervisor.
- Be familiar with all chemicals used in your assigned area and understand any injury or health problem potential inherent in the use or handling of such chemicals.
- Know the location, use and purpose of all safety equipment in your work area.
- All emergency equipment, fire doors and emergency exit routes are to be kept unobstructed and in good condition.
- Adhere to personal protection guidelines set forth by the company.
- Maintain a sense of orderliness, keeping materials, supplies and equipment well organized and in good condition.
- Ensure work area is clean and free from safety hazards.
- All guards must be in place prior to routine operation of any equipment and must be inspected daily.
