What are the responsibilities and job description for the Composites Production Manager position at ABLE COMPOSITES LLC?
Able Composites is seeking an experienced Composites Production Manager to lead a team to fabricate and manage composite materials, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule compliance in the production of components and assemblies.
Assist with planning and organizing production schedules.
Assess project and resource requirements.
Estimate timescales with managers.
Oversee all production processes including group efficiencies and overall performance.
Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel.
Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees.
Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
Schedule and coordinate appropriate downtime to effectively perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement which proactively recognizes and addresses deficiencies.
Acts as liaison between all levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their
performance, attitudes and results.
Communicate production time lines to relay to customers.
Be available for customer interaction as needed.
Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.
Control and minimize labor overtime and maintain labor tracking on a weekly and monthly basis.
Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
Work with leadership team to ensure we are meeting sales targets.
Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with company standards and/or specifications.
Monitor scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.
Requirements:Assist with OSHA requirements, compliance, training and / or audits.
Be familiar with all chemicals used in assigned area and understand any injury or health problem potential inherent in the use or handling of such chemicals.
Adhere to personal protection guidelines for self and others.
Complete required tasks, quotas, and assignments prior to or within deadlines given.
Continue to perform well under pressure and adapt to change.
Prolonged periods of standing.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a hot environment.
Ability to work in a dusty environment.
Ability to motivate team members.
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of composite technicians and other staff, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
