About the Role:
As our Human Resource Generalist, you will play a vital role in all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and onboarding to employee development and policy implementation. You will be a key partner in building a strong and engaged workforce while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Develop and execute recruitment strategies, including advertising, participating in job fairs, and managing the onboarding process.
- Training & Development: Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and support professional growth.
- Policy Development: Collaborate on the development and implementation of company policies.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to employees, address employee relations issues, and manage disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable standards (ICF/IID, HCBS, CQL) and labor laws, including ND Developmental Disability policy and background check guidelines.
- Collaboration: Partner with the Director of Residential and Vocational Sites to address employee-related matters.
- Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, complete required documentation (file reviews, contact notes, GERs), and manage HRIS systems.
- Compensation & Benefits: Stay up-to-date on market trends related to compensation and benefits.
- Reasonable Accommodations: Provide guidance on reasonable accommodations for employees with job limitations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Prior experience in Human Resources preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and reference check.
