Able Medical Devices is hiring for an Operations Technician to specialize in Laser mark. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual with high attention to detail to gain experience in manufacturing, with potential to advance into other roles.
About the Role
The Operations Technician plays a key role in supporting daily operations on the production floor by performing a variety of essential tasks.
Essential Function / Duties*
- Physically issue and stage all raw material for turning and milling centers, documenting on correct paperwork and completing transactions in GP.
- Cut material to length for milling centers using band saw.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure all materials are handled correctly and all transactions are logged accurately in the system.
- Prepare and print manufacturing order packets for upcoming production runs, using multiple software programs to ensure all specifications are correct.
- Assemble devices according to exact specifications, following technical drawings or diagrams. Delicate assembly tasks involving small components require precise hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

Perform a variety of processes required following the machining stage such as:
- Bead blast, tumble, cleaning and degreasing, passivation, buffing and polishing, deburring, and packaging.
- Laser marking
- Laser welding
- Support Maintenance and Logistics teams.
- Document process sheet instructions, prints, tool lists, and inspection procedures to verify sequence and conformance to requirements.
- Contribute to the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges, ensuring timely achievement of the production schedule.
- Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to support a culture of continuous improvement.

Work Schedule / Supervision
Position: Full-time: 40 hours/week, potential for more. Overtime may be necessary.
Position Status: Non-exempt position; with compensation and without notice.
Recommended Education / Experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Entry-level; general interest in manufacturing careers preferred.
