What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at ABM US?
The Account Manager will manage an assigned account, and have specific responsibilities include work scheduling of all account personnel, establishing work standards, conducting site evaluations, audits, overall inventory/equipment usage, budget control, employee performance appraisals, troubleshooting/problem solving, orientation, training of Account Supervisors and support personnel, customer relations, and special project work as requested. This individual will also ensure that all managed services are being provided in a proper and cost-effective manner.
Salary: $61,000/annually

Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions: (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Mentor and develop janitorial supervisors and front-line employees
- Manage daily schedules and accommodate increased/decreased client staffing requests.
- Communicate with Client representatives on a frequent basis regarding operations.
- Maintain daily shift report for managers.
- Perform basic administrative and payroll functions (as required).
- Maintain communication with other Shift Managers/Supervisors to maintain optimum staffing levels.
- Effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees.
- Work with Safety Quality Manager to ensure the safety, security, and quality of the operation. Set positive, professional example for workforce.
- Ensure supervisor and front-line employee compliance with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, by our Clients, and by regulatory authorities.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required. College degree or equivalent work experience
- 1 to 3 years of previous management experience
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle between sites safely with a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain badging clearance for a nuclear site
- Ability to adjust work schedule as needed to support the operation.
- Ability to effectively lead a staff of direct reports.
- Ability to effectively communicate and to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and procedural manuals, and handbooks.
- Basic understanding of computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast pace work environment.
- Ability to resolve issues under tight timeframes and pressure.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and projects and to multi-task within restricted time constraints.
- Excellent team building and planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop productive business relationships, and ability to influence and educate employees.
