ABM is currently seeking a skilled Plumbing Maintenance Technician to join our facility services team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial plumbing systems, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs. This role is responsible for ensuring that all plumbing systems operate efficiently, meet safety regulations, and contribute to a well-maintained facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and water supply lines.
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, water pressure problems, and drainage concerns.
Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, and water heaters.
Maintain and service pumps, water heaters, boilers, and other plumbing-related equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system functionality and prevent breakdowns.
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and efficiently resolve issues.
Work with other maintenance personnel to coordinate multi-trade repairs and projects.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system conditions.
Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
Adhere to ABM's safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is a plus.
Minimum 3 years of experience in plumbing maintenance and repair.
Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing codes, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment effectively.
Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and general maintenance is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
