ABM is searching for a Vice President of Performance Solutions to support our Manufacturing & Distribution Industry Group. The ideal candidate will preferably be located in San Francisco, CA, Austin, TX or Atlanta, GA.
ABM Performance Solutions (APS) is ABM’s self-delivered operational platform which incorporates all of ABM’s offerings into one consolidated service model. Specifically, APS is our multi-service performance model structured to maintain the built environment with self-delivered services including cleaning, energy, sustainability, safety, resiliency, power, mechanical, electrical, EV-charging, parking, and operating engineers. Governed by a single contract, APS helps our clients improve operations, drive outcomes, and enhance resiliency and reliability of their facilities while allowing them to better focus on their core business. The Vice President of Operations (VPO) for Performance Solutions (APS) for the Industry Group (IG) has full responsibility for all functional areas and activities within the IG related to APS but in alignment and under the guidance of the APS Enterprise Platform Team. Simply put, the APS Platform Team dictates and facilitates process while the VPO: APS drives operational performance within and for the IG.
The ideal candidate for this role will have deep experience leading facility operations, utilizing a multi-service performance model within the manufacturing, distribution, life sciences or automotive industries and will also be comfortable partnering with business development teams.
Responsibilities:

- Adopt and execute the processes established by the APS Platform Team within the designated IG with the understanding that the IG has its own uniqueness and dynamic(s)
- Creation and implementation of operational standards with a focus on service delivery, strong client relationships and continuous improvement.
- Creation of a strong operational culture based on an engaged and professional workforce in a highly collaborative team atmosphere.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand a P&L statement and identify opportunities for margin improvement and trend analysis.
- Ability to develop an internal network (with Functional Groups) and external network (perspective clients, industry, etc.).
- Proactively identify potential risks and assign proper resources to mitigate those risks.
- Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the division; establish and implement policies, practices, and standards to ensure operational success.
- Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements.
- Active participation in business development opportunities, including pricing, presentations, and perspective client engagements.
- Assignment of pursuit teams for new business and retention teams for existing clients.
- Collaborate with other executives, in particular ABM’s Client Experience & Operations Support Team and ABM’s Performance Solutions Team, to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Identify, recommend, and implement processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline use of resources and materials.
- Implement and integrate productivity measures and delivery methods to achieve planned ROI.
- Ensure that quality standards are assigned, measured, and met.
- Drive a culture of safety following required safety activities, inspections, and KPI’s.
- Oversee several workflows simultaneously.
- Drive decisions across multiple groups across the entire team.
Special projects and other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications and Desired Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering or Facilities related curriculum, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 12 years of experience in supporting/overseeing hard (skilled) and soft (non-skilled) operations for owners/operators of built environments.
- Experience engaging in client relationships for top tier (US and/or multi-national) corporations or institutions.
- Familiarity and experience with enterprise software solutions related to operating the built environment such as CMMS, BAS, BMS, WOM, and IWMS
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IoT, VR, AI and Smart Buildings
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
Pay: $180,000 - $210,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
