Job Overview
The role of the Digital Loan Fulfillment Specialist is to assist members and potential members with their consumer lending and home equity line of credit needs over the telephone and via the internet; processes loan applications, funds consumer loans, explains services, sets up new accounts, responds to problems, and ensures proper documentation and compliance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Interviews members for all consumer lending products. Prepares loan application with proper
documentation for loan officer review. Processes all loan applications via telephone and internet within a timely manner. - Funds and disburses approved loans and ensures all stipulations are met. Assures loan documents
are in compliance with policies and procedures. Opens new member accounts when necessary, and ensures proper documentation is received. - Identifies cross-sell opportunities, including ancillary products, and cross-sells services to members.
- Process member requests to include due date changes, extensions, etc. Answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of similar or related experience
- 1. Posses a broad knowledge of consumer lending, policies, and procedures. Prior loan and/ or HELOC processing skills highly desired.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members and employees both in person and over the telephone.
3. Must be able to operate a PC and related equipment with average speed and accuracy.
4. Working experience with Microsoft Suite to include Teams, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Ability to obtain an NMLS number for residential mortgage originating mandated under SAFE Act governance. - Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
- Physical qualifications include sitting at a workstation for extended periods of time and to be able to lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
- Work environment is in office.
