Abode, one of the largest and effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area, is seeking a Resident Services Manager for our Permanent Supportive Housing Sites in San Mateo County.
About the role: The Resident Services Manager will oversee services provided to all permanent supportive housing residents. The primary role of this position is the supervision of Resident Services Coordinators assigned to each site. In addition, this position holds the responsibility for monthly administrative reports, budget adherence and works directly with their supervisor.

How You Make an Impact:
- Develop, with other key staff, a vision and philosophy for services offered through the Supportive Housing programs.
- Empower employees to fulfill the program’s mission and philosophy in an effort to meet the needs of individuals and their families.
- Oversee all service coordinators responsible for the delivery of services to individuals and families within the Supportive Housing sites.
- Provide leadership and direction by collaborating effectively with property management entities and modeling exceptional partnerships.
- Provide training and offer staff development activities intended to enhance the high quality of services provided to Abode Services clients.
- Collaborate with other organizations in the community to provide comprehensive services to clients.
- Assist service coordinator in providing access to needed services in the community including, but not limited to, assessments/treatment services for any developmental concerns, childcare, learning disabilities, behavior problems, school readiness, victims of domestic violence, exposure to drugs and alcohol issues in the family.
- Regularly evaluate the services delivered on site including Supportive Housing and Children’s services.
- Ensure that all services and activities are properly documented in case files, on time sheets, and through our electronic database systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
How You Meet Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social work, or equivalent experience required.
- 3 years case management experience providing services to homeless or low-income individuals and/or families.
- 2 years' experience providing staff supervision, budget, and contracts management
- Use of personal vehicle and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance, along with a clean DMV record, is required.
- Driving and transportation of participants when required.
- Work evening and weekend hours when required.

- Experience with community networking and resource building.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, systems, and platforms.
- Ability to learn and use required mobile devices and business-related applications.
- Outstanding communication skills and high degree of emotional intelligence, cultural humility, with a proven track record to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts.
