Position Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Status: Contract —6 months, with the opportunity for possible conversion to permanent/full-time employment with the client.
Status: On-site
Shift / Schedule: 8 hours per day - To be determined
Pay Range: US $30 - $48.93/hr W-2

Requirements / Who we are looking for:
Our client is seeking a Sr. Accountant responsible for completing various accounting functions and overseeing financial operations supporting the business units. This includes collaborating with business leaders and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication with financial and non-financial stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated leadership, attention to detail, and strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within teams, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Skilled in preparing clear written communications and effective verbal, presentation, and listening skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and financial systems; able to handle sensitive information.
- Experienced in process/system improvements and delivering exceptional service.
- Results-driven, innovative, and able to develop solutions for non-recurring problems.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 7 years of relevant experience; CPA preferred
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries for multiple entities.
- Prepare complex account reconciliations, analyze the effect of transactions, and verify the accounting treatment.
- Review account reconciliations prepared by staff.
- Support business units by conducting preliminary financial statement reviews and analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Month-end consolidated reporting (Vector).
- Assist with the coordination of the annual financial audit.
- Manage, assess, and promote continuous improvement of internal processes
