Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brazer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and joining metal components using brazing techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of codes and standards, as well as the ability to work with various materials such as sheet metal and ductwork. The Brazer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products through precise fabrication and assembly.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate brazing methods.
- Utilize tools such as calipers and micrometers to measure and ensure accurate dimensions of components.
- Fabricate metal parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling using various machinery, including press brake machines.
- Rig components for brazing processes, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in brazing or related metalworking fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with codes and standards relevant to brazing operations.
- Proficient in working with ductwork, sheet metal, and other fabrication materials.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience operating machining equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
