Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques and be able to work effectively in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, as well as a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for water, gas, steam, and other fluids.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
- Fabricate and build piping systems according to specifications.
- Perform fire sprinkler fitting tasks as required.
- Utilize tube bending techniques for precise installations.
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify potential issues or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to plumbing and pipefitting.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with fire sprinkler fitting is a plus.
- Ability to perform tube bending accurately.
