Orlando, Florida area multi-billion dollar credit union has an immediate need for a VP of Indirect & Consumer Lending to manage a multifaceted team of 20 - Branch and Digital teams. This is a highly visible and mission-critical position. The VP of Indirect & Consumer Lending will be responsible for all areas of product development and operations (underwriting, processing, and closing). Mentoring your team is critical.
The VP of Indirect & Consumer Lending will be responsible for:
- Review and improve the current program taking full ownership of Consumer Lending
- Daily review of the pipeline, seeking ways to continually improve member service
- Seek out and create new products and services
- Meet with the management team and provide direction, guidance, and coaching
- Recruit the best talent, Underwriters, Processors, Closers,
- Provide ongoing training to staff
- Establishing production and quality control standards
- Continually improve the credit quality
- Reviewing and monitoring quality control and audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented when necessary
Ideal Candidate:
- Has managed Managers and teams and loves to be visible on the floor
- Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect auto lending and consumer loan products including applicable compliance rules and regulations is required
- Ability to improve operations
- Willingness to work on-site
- A Communicator, Coach, Leader, and Trainer
- A clear strategic plan of action of how to effectively and efficiently run a significant organization
