Job Description
Ambitious and growing law firm looking for a Subpoena Clerk to deliver excellent service. Opportunities for growth and advancement.
This position is within the Workers' Compensation Department at Abramson Labor Group. This position is responsible for the preparation, issuance, and tracking of subpoenas within the law firm, which includes tasks such as reviewing subpoena requests, filling out necessary paperwork, ensuring proper service of the subpoena, and maintaining records related to the legal documents involved in a case.
Key Responsibilities:
- The ability to communicate with vendors and law firms.
- Processing and reviewing subpoenas: logging them into tracking systems, distributing them to the appropriate parties and ensuring that they are properly formatted.
- Maintaining records: organizing and filing subpoena related documentation.
- Compliance: ensuring that all actions related to subpoenas follow confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) Required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (coursework in legal studies preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in an office environment, preferably in a legal setting.
- Familiarity with basic legal terminology and office procedures is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
