What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Core - Staff Scientist II, position at ABRF Group?
The Yale West Campus Imaging Core (WCIC) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Staff Scientist II (Research Cores) with a specialization in super-resolution microscopy. The WCIC serves the entire Yale research community, particularly the multidisciplinary institutes on West Campus.
The ideal candidate will excel in a multi-user facility and be an integral part of a broader analytical services team. Presently, the WCIC supports over 120 users from more than 60 different research groups. Reporting to the WCIC Director, the Staff Scientist will provide technical support and train faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers in the use of advanced light microscope systems, sample preparation, and data analysis. Our systems are state-of-the-art optical imaging technologies including confocal, FLIM, light-sheet, and super-resolution microscopy (STED and 3D MINFLUX). Expertise in super-resolution microscopy, especially STORM and/or MINFLUX as well as image analysis is preferred.
