Absolute Home Health and Hospice is seeking an Intake Manager to oversee the daily operational functions of the intake department. The Intake manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Intake department to support the operations of the organization. The intake department is vital in ensuring quality of patient care, securing current and future referrals and maintaining a positive community reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the oversight of the company’s intake services and intake staff
- Actively lead daily, weekly, and monthly huddles and team meetings with Intake team
- Creates and maintains department procedures
- Ensures compliance with all state, federal, and CHAP referral/intake regulatory requirements.
- Support team to solve problem issues and liaise on challenging cases.
- Responsible for training new employees
- Evaluate and report on staff performance on a regular basis.
- Provide career development and learning opportunities to intake staff to build the service delivery strengths of all within the department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute and oversee processes related to intake services and patient needs
- Champion new initiatives and participate in additional training to further the skills of the team intake
- Actively participate in intake department workflow and tasks.
- Ensure Intake leadership team is monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly team Actively participate in intake department workflow and tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define priorities and set actionable goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
Required:
- 3 or more years of homecare experience.
- Experience of 3 years or more in leading or managing a team.
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of governmental regulations, CHAP standards, and private payer practices.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field.
