Overview: Absolutely Loving Hands Child care is seeking a compassionate and attentive Assistant Infant Teacher to join our nurturing childcare team. The Assistant Infant Teacher will work alongside the Lead Infant Teacher to provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Infant Teacher in daily caregiving tasks, including feeding, diapering, and soothing infants.
- Support the implementation of activities that promote sensory and motor development.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Monitor and document infants’ growth, behavior, and milestones to share with families and the teaching team.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with infants and their families to create a sense of community.
- Follow all licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues about infants’ needs and progress.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (preferred).
- 1 year( ) experience working with infants in a childcare or similar setting.
- Candidates who have obtained PA child care clearances (preferred)
- If you do not already obtain the proper clearances, we’re happy to assist you in preparing them.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A warm and patient demeanor with a genuine love for working with infants.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to the needs of the classroom.
