Looking for a front office personal to assist in Primary Care Practice, Monday - Friday
Answer phone lines for 1 Provider and IV dept in addition be back up to Medical Assistant as needed for coverage of PTO, Sick days and when clinic is busy.
- Answer any questions or concerns that patients have or direct the patient to a person who can provide the information
- Schedule and maintain appointments through computerized scheduling program
- Register patients and input demographic, insurance, and other necessary information in the computer records
- Return patient calls and voicemails within 24 hours
- Schedule follow up appointments for existing patients
- Communicate to medical staff daily regarding patient concerns and follow up issues
- Checking patients in and out - collecting insurance, copays, past due balances, updating forms, ringing up patients supplements
- Cover Medical Assistant - Vital Patients, update chart info, work closely with provider
- Display a positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude consistently
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA Guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Proven support and front desk operations
- Proficient in managing medical records and patient service
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic and Meditech
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
- Excellent clerical and office experience, with a focus on customer service
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and perform medical collections as needed
