Job Description
The Community educator, public relations and development position is responsible for the creation, development and implementation of community relation campaigns and fundraising for Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc. This position is also responsible for scheduling and presenting presentations on ACT services to various community organizations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Builds and maintains new relationships with members of the community including presentations, development and fundraising per agency guidelines, grant requirements or fundraising sources.
- Helps the CEO or Director of Community Education plan, develop, implement, and organize events and volunteers to advance the mission and goals of the company.
- Organizes community outreach programs and coordinates special events that will influence public opinion or promote products, services, or ideas of the company with the approval of the Director of Community Education.
- Design, write, implement and maintain an agency quarterly newsletter with approval of CEO and Director.
- Coordinate community presentations / relations and fundraisers with the Director of Community Education.
- Responds to inquiries from community members and other interested parties to assist in public relations for Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc., with co-ordination of CEO and Director.
- Schedule and present community education presentations throughout the community, with the approval of the Director of Community Education.
- Attends meetings as designated by the CEO and / or Director of Community Education.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
