TITLE: Certified Material Control Specialist Shipping
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Effectively maintain inventories. Research and correct any discrepancies. Work with Distribution personnel in the warehouse to make sure shipments go out correctly and in a timely fashion. Communicate with truck lines and drivers, maintain accurate paperwork for shipments.

Effectively maintain inventories. Research and correct any discrepancies. Work with Distribution personnel in the warehouse to make sure shipments go out correctly and in a timely fashion. Communicate with truck lines and drivers, maintain accurate paperwork for shipments.
WORK PERFORMED
- Call LTL carriers to schedule for pick-ups.
- Distribute pick list to lift truck operators so shipments can be pulled from the warehouse
- Review recall reports to make sure inventory has been properly pulled.
- Generate bill of laden.
- Confirms out going loads
- Communicate with Traffic Team
- Communicate with converting area skid bander regarding product coming from the converting department for HOT shipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Verify carrier pick up number with the correct load.
- Perform inventory adjustments
- Communicate with customer service personnel to address any issues or needs.
- Monitor POU for correct inventory and make adjustments as required.
- Check Customer Returns pertaining to the department and forward information to Supervisor
- Make corrections to inventory when needed.
- Assist with Data Entry if needed.
- Complete understanding of warehousing process and procedures
- Advanced Knowledge and use of all systems for Shipping.
- Working knowledge of overall order flow
- Ability to work as a team in cross functional operations
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule to meet changing work demands
- Good record keeping skills
- Capable of, and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedure
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Good mathematical skills.
- Continuous learning will be expected
- Able to work overtime as required
