The Materials Coordinator I will work within the GMP warehouses managing the receiving, issuance, transfer and shipping of all products. The Materials Coordinator I will work closely with all Abzena team members ensuring they provide the material within a timely fashion.
Responsibilities
- Support and work within the Quality Management System, comply with all documentation needs, practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform timely and accurate data entry in Enterprise Resource System (ERP) for material transactions.
- Perform receipt of incoming materials. Check materials received against specifications, vendor shipping documents and purchase orders for accuracy
- Accurately maintain all receiving documentation to comply with internal procedures and or SOPs.
- Follow best practices related to the systems and process that support material inventory, purchasing, and material control. Provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to resolve any supplier invoice issues or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel, ensuring timely testing and release of materials.
- Pick and stage materials for manufacturing and laboratory support.
- Support accurate client billing and raw material traceability through timely processing of return to stock items Perform material dispense and transfer.
- Process any unused return to inventory items.
- Coordinate receipt of incoming materials.
- Update and monitor daily movement of parts providing information to appropriate personnel regarding back order of critical scheduled material.
- Maintain all production control records.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials as required for designated production areas, Product Development and engineering projects.
- Ensure completion of physical inventory counts and prepare lists of obsolete and excess quantities of stock components.
- Examine incoming stock to identify parts requiring Quality Assurance inspect and release
- Inspect stock for damage / product integrity.
- Monitor, review and report on physical inventory in stock and capacity requirements
- Report all product concerns and issues to Quality Assurance.
- Monitor shipments and update of any potential delays.
- Provide backup support for client audits.
- Manage effective relationships with internal and external clients.
- Successfully adapt to changing priorities.
- Operate to the highest ethical and moral standards.
- Comply with Abzena's policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, colleagues and staff.
- Participate effectively as a team player in all aspects of Abzena's business.
- Adhere to quality standards set by regulations and Abzena policies, procedures, and mission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
