Social Media Manager Job Description
The Social Media Manager will contribute to the marketing performance of Auro Hotels-owned and managed properties by executing strategic social media initiatives. This role collaborates with the Marketing & Communications team and supports hotel and food & beverage (F&B) outlet teams to enhance brand awareness, engagement, trial, and sales. The position focuses on driving revenue for corporate-managed Marriott-branded properties, emphasizing six (6) F&B outlets in downtown Greenville, SC : Juniper, The Press Room, Paloma, Perfect Buns, Oak & Honey, and Serotonic (opening May 2025).
The Social Media Manager will develop and implement overall social media strategies while creating compelling content-including written, graphic, photography, and video assets-that captivate and engages the target audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Management :
- Write, schedule, publish, monitor, and optimize social media posts across platforms.
- Produce engaging graphics, short-form videos, and photography for Instagram, Facebook, email campaigns, and blogs / websites.
- Craft error-free, engaging copy with clear calls-to-action and effective use of hashtags; curate and share user-generated content.
- Platform Strategy :
- Set tailored goals for individual social media platforms and execute unique, on-brand strategies per outlet.
- Establish a consistent tone, voice, and aesthetic for each property.
- Manage a social media content calendar, promoting events, seasonal campaigns, menu launches, and paid programming.
- Campaign Management :
- Run paid social media ad campaigns and boosted posts on Facebook and Instagram, optimizing for key metrics.
- Review and report campaign performance analytics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Engagement & Community Management :
- Actively manage page engagement, responding to feedback, comments, and direct messages, while reposting user content on stories.
- Asset & Marketing Material Management :
- Design digital marketing materials (e.g., menus, table tents) aligned with brand standards.
- Organize and maintain marketing assets (photos, videos, graphics) for team accessibility.
- Facilitate content creation with on-site contributors to generate authentic assets.
- Collaboration & Support :
- Serve as the primary contact for sales and operations teams regarding social media initiatives.
- Support general marketing efforts, including photography, videography, graphic design, branding, and ad creation.
- Platform Accuracy :
- Audit and maintain accurate information on social media platforms, including menus, hours, and events.
