- Proficient in typing, office machines, computers and general office duties.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terms and excellent skills in spelling, punctuation and proper grammar.
- Demonstrate an ability to interact in a team environment.
- Demonstrate a highly-developed sense of confidentiality and responsibility.
- Competent and tactful in dealing with the clients and other staff members; i.e. telephone and face-to-face contacts.
- Will work extra hours when business necessitates.
- Maintain prompt work hours with immediate notification to the Support Services Coordinator or Department Head about absences or tardiness.
III. General Duties/Responsibilities: Greet and assist clients with the completion of required paperwork
- Understand support staff functions and general responsibilities to maintain information for the Clinic as a team.
- Assist in carrying out other responsibilities of the front office set forth in the general job description outside of their area of primary responsibility.
- Assist and recognize emergency and priority situations that may require working outside their area of primary responsibility
- Recognize the primary role is in the processing of information designated to enhance the quality of work carried out for the consumer.
- All other job duties as deemed appropriate by management
- Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare a record of deposit for all payments daily.
- Print and organize clients’ packets.
- Assist with credentialing and credentialing of MD’s and therapists.
- Assist in all areas of support staff in record management, including file and chart maintenance.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic and procedure codes.
- Serve as a primary backup in all areas of the front desk and reception.
- Assist with scanning of clients’ records to the database of agency’s EMR
- Respond to emergency situations as may be presented within the building assist in notifying the emergency team.
- Maintain confidentiality of consumers’ Protected Health Information (PHI) as according to Standards of HIPAA.
- Participate in the Center’s continuous quality improvement processes
- Participate in administrative meetings.
- Maintain professional skills through continuing education.
