Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Delivery Head at the Director level to lead and oversee the delivery of technology and content projects at Academian. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing large-scale projects across both technology and content domains. As Delivery Head, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of projects while aligning with the company's strategic goals. This leadership position will require a combination of advanced technical expertise, strong business acumen, and exceptional project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the successful delivery of complex technology and content-driven projects across multiple teams, ensuring they meet the highest standards and business objectives.
- Define and implement project delivery strategies, ensuring the effective execution of both short-term and long-term project goals.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align project objectives with company priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers, content developers, and technical professionals, providing guidance and leadership throughout project execution.
- Oversee the development and management of project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, design, and content teams, to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, status updates, and issue resolution.
- Track project performance, identifying risks and ensuring proactive resolution to mitigate delays or quality concerns.
- Collaborate with the business development and sales teams to align project delivery with client expectations and contract requirements.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative environment, ensuring team alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards, maintaining detailed project documentation.
- Serve as a thought leader and key decision-maker within the company, driving innovation and process improvement in project delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program or project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale technology and content projects.
- Proven expertise in managing complex, cross-functional projects, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
- In-depth experience with both technology development and content creation processes, with a focus on EdTech or K12 education.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking with the ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing and growing teams.
- Extensive experience with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and familiarity with modern project management tools.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (combination of remote and in-office work based in New Rochelle, NY).
- Must be based in New York or willing to relocate to New York.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification.
- Experience working within the education, EdTech, or content development sectors.
- Knowledge of K12 curriculum standards and educational technology trends.
