MOHS Histotechnician - USFTGP Dermatology

Mohs Histotechnician provides high-quality histologic specimens for microscopic evaluation and review by the Mohs Surgeon. They accomplish this by taking tissue stages/layers and processing the tissue using the Mohs technique. Additionally, they maintain the functionality of the Mohs laboratory.

Required Skills:

Associate's Degree in Science or 2 years equivalent training in medical related field - Required

License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Required

• Histology technician experience Yes

• Licensed RN, LPN or MA Preferred

• Must complete at least MA Certification within one year of hire Yes

Work Experience and Additional Information Required

• 2 years experience in an ambulatory care clinic and or laboratory Yes

• Prior experience processing tissue for a Mohs surgeon
