Position Overview:

The Elementary School Counselor will work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators to support student success by providing counseling services, implementing intervention strategies, and fostering a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement programs that promote a positive school culture and student well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to develop strategies for student success.
• Conduct assessments and referrals for students requiring additional support.
• Support students in developing social-emotional skills, conflict-resolution strategies, and coping mechanisms.
• Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field.
• Valid Wisconsin DPI (Department of Public Instruction) School Counselor License.
• Experience working with elementary school students preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for supporting students’ academic and personal development.

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
