What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Custodial/Set-Up Services position at Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences?
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Facilities, the Custodial/Set-Up Services Supervisor will oversee the work of the custodial team to clean and maintain the Academy Museum building to the highest standards, and oversee the preparation, set-up, staffing, and clean up for numerous events throughout the year.
You must be willing to work outside of normal business hours including weekends, late nights, and holidays. You must also be willing to work overtime, weekends, and have a flexible schedule, when required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, organize, coordinate, inspect, supervise, and evaluate the work of custodial and set-up services staff in the upkeep of the museum.
Work with the custodial and set-up services team as a working supervisor on day or evening shift.
Provide training to staff in the proper and efficient performance of custodial duties according to the training program implemented by the museum.
Maintain and issue custodial supplies.
Assist with supplies and parts procurement.
Inspect and evaluate the condition of the buildings, grounds, equipment, machinery, and sidewalks and make cleaning and maintenance recommendations for improvement to supervisor.
Undertake comprehensive and ongoing training for the custodial team.
Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner in conformance with the museum’s safety programs.
Coordinate set up and break down of tables, chairs, and linens for various meetings, programs, events, and other activities.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and a positive and respectful attitude with peers, subordinates, supervisors, administrators, and visitors.
Train, supervise and evaluate personnel.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Salary : $45,000 - $80,000
