Description
The Preschool and Lower School Teacher, as a faculty member, is directly accountable to the
Preschool & Lower School Division Head. S(he) works with the Division Head, Dean of Students,
students, and parents to ensure that the spirit and the life of the school reflect the Goals and Criteria
of Sacred Heart education. S(he) understands, embraces, and implements the school's mission and
philosophy as written in the Goals and Criteria; participates in the Christ-centered life of the school;
and models the school’s philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues, and
administration. S(he) agrees to fulfill the terms of the contract of employment.
Responsibilities
- Attends and participates in the following: chapels, liturgical functions, retreats,
other school functions, as requested.
- Maintains facilities request for all Preschool and Lower School
- Secures substitutes for classroom and enrichment faculty.
- Schedules and coordinates events with Division Heads, Faculty, Enrichment Faculty, and
- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates with PSLS faculty the Third and Fourth Grade Clubs.
- Coordinates with faculty to schedule buses and oversee cost of field trips.
- Contribute to weekly communication (Nuts and Bolts & Little Cardinal Courier) to keep
faculty and staff apprised of the classes, events, activities, and schedule changes of the Mater
Campus
- Orders and distributes supplies for the Mater Campus faculty.
- Orders supplies and repairs for the copy and laminating machines.
- Maintain supplies for PS/LS throughout the school year.

- Works with Division Head to coordinate community events, orders refreshments needed for
- Distributes quarterly log sheets to faculty and staff and collects them for the Business Office.
- Distributes and updates faculty and student rosters.
- SEMT-Organizes student files (types cumulative record forms, responds to requests for
- Updates information for student summer packets along with DH and Dean of Students
- Reconciles the budgets, credit card statements, check request, and petty cash monthly.
- Updates copy counts.
- Distributes mail daily.
- Attends assemblies and special events in this division.
- Works with Division Head to secure professional development dates, registration, and travel.
- Updates Title II plan
- Handles substitute information, secure substitutes.
- Updates and maintains faculty log, calendar, and anticipated absences.
- Assists in setting up sign ups for parent conferences.
- Orders End of Year Gifts for Dads on Duty and Room Moms
- Orders end of year certificates for Prek, K and Fourth Primary.
- Assists with PowerPoint and Programs for Preschool and Lower School events
- Oversee Updates to Professional Learning Calendar
- Works with admissions to schedule spend a day visits
- Maintains the calendar for the PS/LS Division Head by scheduling meetings, Sophie
- Maintains sign in sheets, invoices, and proof of attendance for Title II and Title IV
