What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal) position at Academy of the Sacred Heart?
Summer at Sacred Heart seeks multiple enthusiastic, fun-loving summer camp counselors for the 2024 camp season! Our program offers a wide variety of activities for children entering Kindergarten to entering Grade 7 to keep them engaged all summer long. Counselors’ main responsibilities include maintaining the safety and well-being of each camper while acting as a positive role model.
The summer season runs from June 8-August 16, 2024. Candidates will ideally be able to work the full summer, however, consideration will still be given to candidates who can work the majority of the summer. Full and part-time shifts available.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (must be 18 or older)
- Previous experience working with kids (childcare, camp, babysitting, volunteer work, etc.) or a desire to learn
- CPR and First Aid Certification (training will be provided)
- The ability to be a team player
- Lots of enthusiasm
Job Duties:
- Supervising campers during activities and recess time
- Providing an extra set of hands for pre-planned activities
- Following all licensing procedures
- Assisting with daily lunch and snack time facilitation
- Providing basic first aid as needed
- Other job duties as assigned
