Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment at Academy Point at Mystic.
Main Responsibilities:
- Nursing Care: Provide skilled nursing services to residents with a focus on promoting independence and dignity.
- Care Coordination: Assess, communicate, and document residents' status accurately, ensuring seamless coordination of care among healthcare providers.
- Leadership and Supervision: Direct and supervise Resident Care Assistants daily work assignments, mentoring them in all aspects of their job.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Guide Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their role, including case management and emergency response situations.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
- Education: Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience working as a nurse, preferably with experience working with the elderly.
