Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their outdoor product needs and inquiries.
- Demonstrate product knowledge through engaging product demos and informative discussions.
- Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and manage cash handling procedures accurately.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Supervise team members during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Support the organization of merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
- Assist in training new staff on point-of-sale (POS) systems and customer service best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills to facilitate cash handling and retail math tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Experience with supervising or leading a team is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems is beneficial for managing transactions efficiently.
