Medication Aide

We are looking to add compassionate Medication Aides to our amazing Nursing Team! Keystone Treatment Center is a 126 Bed Treatment Center providing services to adults on an inpatient basis. Keystone is located in Canton SD, just a short drive from Sioux Falls, SD. You will be working with the Nursing team in providing therapeutic care to our patients.

SHIFTS AND HOURS

• We have a full-time day position available. (6:30 am to 7:00 pm)
• Scheduled Shifts are 12 Hours, 3 Days per week with shift differentials available
• Part-Time Medication Aides Shifts can be flexible according to your own schedule, great if you are completing your Nursing Course.
• All Full Time Medication Aides Rotate Weekend Shifts.
  
  

TRAINING AND ORIENTATION

Keystone Treatment Center is committed to Training and Safety. All New Hire Medication Aides will attend a 2 Day Facility Orientation and Patient Treatment Program Overview before spending 2 Weeks in Unit Orientation with a Preceptor. We can accommodate shadow shifts for interested candidates!

Essential Functions Of The Medication Aide (medaid)

• Provide Nursing care, as directed by the Nurse Staff and in conformance with the established standards and administrative policies
• Communicate clearly and effectively to patients, their family members, guests and other members of the health care team.
• Passes and charts daily medications as directed by nurse
• Provides therapeutic listening and guidance as required
• May transfer or transport patients
• Performs room checks
  
  

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Previous experience in behavioral health setting knowledge and experience working with the population of the facility preferred.
