Job Purpose
Support project managers in taking projects from original concept through final close-out.
Core Duties:
- The project engineer will support project manager, senior project manager or Project Executive through the full range of project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing. Complete sub-project and/or stand-alone elements of a project.
- Manage components of large projects or lead smaller projects with formal mentorship of Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Executive.
- Draft and help execute comprehensive change management strategy and communication plan relative to project scope and stakeholders on a focused project; actively manage resistance to change.
- Review project plans and proposals, and work with project manager to develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project.
- Oversee, coordinate, and perform technical aspects of project, with guidance, based on type of project manager support required (e.g., engineer, quality, scheduler).
- Ensure the preparation of required project documentation.
- Contribute to communication plan and change management elements.
- The focus/ core tasks of this role will include:
- Review, track, and approve contractor requisitions and vendor invoices.
- Obtain local (cities and counties) and regulatory permits for projects.
- Resolve problems as they arise and proactively identify potential problems early in the process and develop strategies to overcome obstacles.
- Organize project data (including schedules, budgets, permit data) through excel, Microsoft Project, P6, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.
- Build relationships with stakeholders with the goal of representing Acadian Group
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one to three years of related experience in management of projects of moderate size/complexity with limited performance risk, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting, or combination of education and relevant experience.

- Depth of knowledge in technical discipline/domain needed to deliver projects.
