The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a critical member of our senior management team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with significant experience in real estate development and finance. They will drive financial growth strategies, capital procurement, and ensure financial stability and compliance within the commercial and residential real estate sectors. Additionally, they will manage the ecosystem of our company's real estate financing process, including client relationship management, lender placement execution, loan and equity term negotiation, and closing, to secure the best economics for the company. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the company's financial planning, overseeing financial management, directing internal and external stakeholders in financial statement preparation, driving long-term financial sustainability and growth, assessing and managing liabilities and investments, mitigating financial risks, analysing financial data and market trends, contributing to strategic direction and decision-making, monitoring and managing cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements, company policies, financial regulations, accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal controls. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, Certified Public Accountant designation, 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, experience in financial planning and analysis, knowledge of real estate transactions, proficiency in financial software and tools, familiarity with risk management tools and practices, experience in leading and mentoring finance teams, experience ensuring adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements, demonstrated expertise in capital markets, familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in real estate finance, and proven track record of strategic financial management, financial analysis, and risk management in the real estate industry.
