Acara Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join our client, a growing manufacturer in Buffalo, NY!
Type: Direct Hire with benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM to 5PM with hybrid flexibility on Tuesday and Thursday
Required Skills:
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College, analogous work experience considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently or collaboratively create detailed design and fabrication drawings to meet project and company requirements.
- Coordinate with both internal teams and external partners throughout drafting and manufacturing phases.
- Conduct preliminary checks of designs to ensure compliance before seeking Project Engineer approval.
- Work closely with the Senior Mechanical Designer to address issues at any project stage.
- Perform extensive 2D detailing for individual parts and assemblies, ensuring proper arrangement, views, and sections to facilitate fabrication.
- Apply precise dimensioning and tolerancing for complex part details.
- Verify completed drawings meet input requirements before final engineering submission.
- Update and revise drawings, assembly details, and specifications as needed.
- Engage in other engineering activities related to project needs.
