Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare providers or family members.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Assist with medication reminders and other health-related tasks as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in meal preparation that meets dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Experience in assisting individuals in nursing homes or group homes is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Background in home health or community care settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
