Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists Programs Administrator to oversee and develop LLWP and Volunteer Services staff, and to evaluate & improve program participation and outcomes.
- Works with Programs Administrator and Director of Marketing and Fund Development to plan and implement special events, fundraisers, and community outreach.
- Works with Programs Administrator to develop innovative, capacity-building strategies that support HCBP goals and objectives
- Assists Administrator in budget oversight, financial reporting, and compliance with grant and other funding requirements.
- Establishes partnerships to create new funding sources and sustain or grow services.
- Increases grant applications/proposals to financially support the department (especially long-term grants).
- Pilots new programs and services.
- Manages outreach on behalf of HCBP including engagement strategies; staffing and materials for outreach events to increase volunteers, participants, and ACC Programs presence in the community.
- Develops creative solutions to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and organization of existing processes.
- Manages the Senior Escort, Classes and Team & Changes employees.
- Participates in the annual review process.
- Assists in grant writing, reporting and compliance.
- Actively participates in meetings to ensure effective communication across programs.
- Represents ACC Programs during special events, community fairs, and other outreach opportunities.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in program planning and development, human or social services, gerontology, social work, public health, ethnic studies, or related field.
- Experience with supervision/coordination of both paid staff and volunteers.
- Experience with outreach, networking, and/or working in collaboration across public, private, and non-profit sectors.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual English highly preferred.
- Grant writing and/or fund development experience.
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook; data entry, spreadsheets, email, desktop publishing, Internet, social media, telephone communications and video conferencing.
- Ability to work with budgets and analyze data.
- Must be flexible and willing to work occasionally on weekends or evenings as needed.
- Familiarity & experience with organizing and conducting programs for older adults preferred.
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
