Job Description:
The Speech Services Manager oversees the management and coordination of all SLP practices. This position involves clinical and administrative oversight of SLP services. The Speech Services Manager ensures the highest level of quality assurance and supports the strategic growth of our Speech Therapy Services line across the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct Therapy:
- Conduct assessments and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Deliver therapy and interventions to enhance speech, language, and communication skills.
- Work collaboratively with BCBAs, BTs, and other ABA teammates to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary client care.
- Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and document treatment records.
- Use specialized equipment and technology to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Clinical Quality Assurance:
- Design, implement, and maintain electronic documentation system workflows and templates related to SLP.
- Maintain audits according to regulatory requirements.
- Plan, review, and monitor referrals for relevance and timeliness of service delivery.
- Ensure regulatory compliance/quality assurance for SLP services and assist units and the SLP department in maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Leadership:
- Showcase ancillary SLP leadership regarding other department initiatives.
- Show a high level of initiative in regards to program development and performance improvement projects for the SLP service.
- Ensure a high level of utilization of authorized client SLP sessions.
- Meet with key service personnel as needed to promote effective services.
- Supervise and manage all clinical and support staff in all programs, including providing long-term career development and growth opportunities.
- Develop a staff clinical training program and lead new hires through established activities with diligence and thoroughness.
- Strategic Growth:
- Partner with Accel leadership to develop a strategic plan for the growth of the Speech service line across current markets and new markets.
- Travel occasionally to other markets to support the SLP team and service line.
- BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY PROVIDERS TO EARN ACCEL'S REPUTATION AND A STRONG REFERRAL NETWORK.
- Work with cross-functional leadership to execute marketing strategies related to growing Accel's speech business.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Participate in ongoing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
