Job Summary :
The Speech Therapy Services Manager plays an essential role in overseeing and coordinating all practices related to Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services. This position involves both clinical and administrative leadership to ensure the highest quality of care, while also supporting the strategic expansion of our Speech Therapy Services across the organization. Duties / Responsibilities :
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.Provide therapy and interventions to enhance speech, language, and communication skills.Collaborate with BCBAs, BTs, and other Applied Behavioral Analysis colleagues to provide integrated, multi-disciplinary client care.Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders and available treatment options.Document client progress and maintain accurate treatment records.Utilize specialized equipment and technology to support diagnosis and treatment.Clinical Quality Assurance :Design, implement, and maintain electronic documentation systems related to SLP.
Conduct audits in alignment with regulatory requirements.Plan, review, and monitor service referrals for relevance and timeliness.Ensure compliance with regulations for SLP services and assist in maintaining standards related to CARF, JACHO, and DOH.Leadership :Exhibit leadership in SLP, supporting other departmental initiatives.
Initiate program development and performance improvement projects for SLP services.Maximize utilization of authorized client SLP sessions.Meet regularly with key personnel to promote effective service delivery.Supervise clinical and support staff while offering long-term career development opportunities.Develop and oversee staff clinical training programs, guiding new hires through established activities with diligence.Strategic Growth :Collaborate with Accel leadership to strategically expand the Speech service line in current and new markets.
Occasionally travel to other markets to support the SLP team and enhance service lines.Build relationships with community providers to strengthen Accel’s reputation and referral network.Work with cross-functional leadership to implement marketing strategies that promote Accel's speech business.Engage in research to advance knowledge in speech-language pathology.Participate in continuing education to stay updated with the latest practices and techniques.Required Skills / Abilities :
Expertise in speech-language pathology.Experience in diverse clinical settings and leading new market initiatives.Proficiency with speech and language assessment tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with clients and families.Exceptional leadership skills and ability to motivate teams through effective communication.Education and Experience :
Master's degree in speech pathology.State license as a speech pathologist.Willingness to obtain licensure in other states.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.3-5 years of experience in the field of speech pathology preferred.Proficiency in conducting speech, language, and swallowing assessments.Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.Excellent empathy and patience when working with patients and families.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation.Ability to use specialized speech therapy equipment and software.Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and interacting with a computer.Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
