What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Engineer position at Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions?
The Structural Engineer completes the structural steel design of large-scale motorized door systems for aircraft hangers, and industrial applications. Each project is custom designed to meet the customer’s requirements, and will require and good working knowledge of structural, mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with structural steel design and fabrication is essential. A strong background in AISC design, wind-load analysis, and Enercalc is preferred.

Qualifications
- Proven success in managing timely completion of engineering projects.
- Ability to manage multiple project concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, to coordinate with customers, architects, and contractors.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and structural design drawings is essential.
- Proven ability to design complex systems, providing creative solutions with strong attention to details.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting package, as well as solid computer skills. 2D design experience required, 3D experience preferred.
- Experience with steel design and fabrication is required.
Education and/or Experience
- Degree in Engineering, with a focus on structural steel design, Bachelor's plus 2 years experience, or Associate's plus 6 years experience
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD drafting package is required. 3D experience with SolidWorks or Tekla would be helpful.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
