POSITION SUMMARY: The Commercial Service and Engineering Manager is a hybrid role, encompassing the supervision of vital projects, guaranteeing their successful deployment, installation, and operational coordination. This role encompasses the management of key customer accounts, serving as a liaison between technical and commercial functions, supporting the formulation of value propositions, and actively promoting AMP solutions. Additionally, the position involves interfacing with engineering teams to evaluate technology solutions and providing support for PSA projects and special initiatives within operations. Technical proficiency will play a crucial role in contributing to business development, facilitating the creation of value propositions, and advancing the promotion of AMP solutions in the market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")

  • Manages key customer accounts supporting long term relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders in the organization.
  • Oversees accounts during the preliminary assessment of opportunities and lends technical support to enhance value sales, emphasizing the distinctive features of AMP's service offerings in comparison to competitors.
  • Facilitates communication between commercial and operations teams to define the technical scope of projects for proposals or implementation with the customer.
  • Assists in crafting value propositions as needed by the Business Development team and leadership, highlighting the organizations distinctiveness in the market compared to other Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings.
  • Collaborates in the development of technical white papers, articles, and media content to quantify AMP services, illustrating how our Platform as a Service (PaaS) addresses specific customer challenges, encompassing aspects such as emissions, efficiency, total cost of ownership (TCO), and complexity.
  • Contributes to sales, marketing, and promotion efforts of AMP solutions, guiding the market with a technical perspective.
  • Supports Regional Managers in development of technical proposals and value propositions for projects.
  • Supports contract negotiations and bid documents to comply with customer technical and emissions related aspects of project.
  • Interfaces between support technical SMEs (PEM) in evaluating technology or solutions required to broaden AMP scope offering for PaaS.
  • Assess high-level conceptual projects to ascertain the feasibility of aligning power assets, gas fuel, electrical, mechanical, and emissions requirements with existing AMP assets, meeting customer or market project specifications.
  • Serves as a liaison within the matrix organization of sister companies, identifying the appropriate individuals to support electrical, mechanical, controls, and gas fuel interfaces between AMP assets and customer equipment, ensuring project feasibility.
  • Works with third party engineering firm to create executable drawings for field implementation of civil, mechanical, electrical and gas infrastructure for operations team to implement in field.
  • Assists the Business Development team in developing a streamlined matrix for grouping assets to accommodate multiple projects, considering factors such as footprint, emissions limits, fuel availability, electrical infrastructure, and loading requirements.
  • Creates diagrams, drawings, and layouts to visualize AMP installations for commercial proposals and high-level technical details outlining customer requirements for interfaces to AMP equipment.
  • Facilitates reciprocating (recip) and turbine PSA projects, managing coordination between internal and external stakeholders to fulfill contractual commitments and uphold uptime guarantees.
  • Assists the operations team by providing support in documentation and technical aspects for the implementation of field projects, including confirming drawings, preparing documentation for operations and maintenance, troubleshooting, and overseeing field installations.
  • Serves as a key liaison for special projects, supporting the Director of Operations and Asset Management in coordinating between commercial and operations teams. Manages technician coordination, rig moves, deployments, and the operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Supports post-sale customer services by collaborating with the operations team to ensure excellence in the delivery of services to assigned accounts/projects.
  • Champions deployment, installation, and coordination for CNX project in NE (Commercial and Operational deliverables)
  • Supports AMP operations, technicians, and stakeholders by coordinating between EVO and Dynamis teams engaged in supporting the project.
  • Engages in travel to project locations, participating in in-person meetings with customers and conducting onsite visits to the operations team. Ensures that the project aligns with and fulfills contractual commitments.
  • Ensures technical implementation of project is successful.
  • Measures and communicates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the customer, specifically focusing on availability, reliability, and performance metrics.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes pre-employment background check.
  • Valid U.S. Drivers License.
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Certification and/or Equivalent Work Experience
    • Electrical Engineer
    • NFPA Standards (National Fire Protection Agency)
  • Power Generation Background
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in field or related field

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • Adaptability to high stress work environments
  • Initiative-taking self-starter
